Q. With NAAD’s successful establishment, what is your corporate wellness mantra?
At NAAD, we believe in nurturing the well-being of our team. Our corporate wellness programs are meticulously designed to invigorate and inspire, offering a unique blend of holistic practices and rejuvenating experiences. From tailored yoga sessions to immersive workshops, we empower employees to thrive both personally and professionally, elevating corporate culture and productivity.
Q. When was the company founded, and what prompted your entry into this segment?
NAAD’s inception traces back to 2014, driven by our collective vision to create a sanctuary for holistic wellness in the Delhi-NCR region. Our aim was to address the escalating need for comprehensive well-being solutions in today’s fast-paced world. After meticulous planning and development, we officially commenced operations in 2018, realising our dream of providing transformative wellness experiences.
Q. Do you believe the concept of wellness retreats has accelerated post-pandemic as consumers seek more holistic living and well-being?
Undoubtedly, the concept of wellness retreats has gained significant momentum post-pandemic. The global health crisis served as a wake-up call, prompting individuals to prioritise holistic living and overall well-being. As consumers seek refuge from stress and uncertainty, the demand for immersive wellness experiences has witnessed a notable upsurge.
Q. How has the pandemic altered travel and hospitality trends?
The pandemic has catalysed profound changes in travel and hospitality trends, with a heightened emphasis on safety, hygiene, and wellness. Travellers now gravitate towards destinations and accommodations that prioritise health and rejuvenation. Additionally, there’s been a surge in interest towards secluded, nature-centric retreats, reflecting a desire for solace and introspection amidst the chaos.
Q. Do you foresee any reversal in people’s travel habits or expenditure on experiences post-Covid?
While the pandemic initially led to a slowdown in travel and discretionary spending, we anticipate a gradual resurgence in people’s appetite for meaningful experiences post-COVID. As the world adapts to the new normal, individuals increasingly seek enriching experiences that nourish the body, mind, and soul. We remain optimistic about the enduring appeal of wellness travel in the post-pandemic era.
Q. With more established players venturing into similar hotels and resorts, even in smaller towns and cities, how do you navigate increased competition?
The emergence of more players in the wellness hospitality sector signifies the growing demand for holistic wellness experiences. At Naad Wellness, we welcome healthy competition as it fosters innovation and elevates industry standards. Our unique blend of authentic practices, personalised care, and serene surroundings sets us apart, enabling us to carve a niche in the market and retain our loyal clientele.
Q. What are your expansion plans across different formats?
Expansion remains integral to our growth strategy, encompassing diverse formats and locations. While finding suitable properties or land presents challenges, our team is dedicated to identifying strategic opportunities that align with our vision and values. We approach expansion with careful consideration, ensuring that any new venture reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.
Q. Many companies are adopting an asset-light model, managing hotels instead of owning them. What is your perspective on this?
The adoption of an asset-light model in the hospitality industry reflects a broader trend towards operational efficiency and risk mitigation. While managing hotels allows for greater flexibility, owning properties provides a sense of control. At Naad Wellness, we strike a balance between ownership and management, leveraging our expertise to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maximising returns for stakeholders.
Q. What is the current occupancy rate, and what steps are you taking to enhance it moving forward?
Presently, we are operating at around 50-60% occupancy, reflecting Naad’s resilience and enduring appeal as a premier wellness destination. Moving forward, we are implementing targeted marketing initiatives, forging strategic partnerships, and introducing innovative wellness programs to further enhance occupancy levels. Our focus remains on delivering unparalleled value and personalised care to every guest.
Q. Are bookings primarily from end consumers, or have companies begun utilising your property for offsite/wellness initiatives?
We are witnessing a growing trend of both individual bookings and corporate retreats at Naad Wellness. While end consumers seek refuge in our holistic offerings to recharge and rejuvenate, companies recognize the value of wellness initiatives in fostering team cohesion and employee well-being. We welcome both segments, tailoring our services to meet their unique needs and objectives.
Q. Do you believe hospitals can compete with you in some of the services you offer?
While hospitals play a crucial role in the healthcare ecosystem, their focus primarily revolves around medical treatment and intervention. At Naad Wellness, we offer a holistic approach to well-being encompassing yoga, Ayurveda, naturopathy, healthy diet, and lifestyle management. Our emphasis on preventive healthcare, holistic therapies, and personalised wellness programs sets us apart, positioning us as complementary rather than competitive partners in the pursuit of optimal health.
Q. Are there any plans to raise funds?
As we continue to innovate and expand our offerings, raising funds may become a consideration in the future. However, our primary focus remains on delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving operational excellence, and achieving sustainable growth. Any decision regarding fundraising will be guided by our long-term vision and commitment to empowering individuals on their journey to holistic wellness.
