World Patient Safety Day Workshop Organised in New Delhi
The Sehgal Neo Hospital (SNH) in New Delhi hosted a significant workshop to commemorate the World Patient Safety Day under the aegis of the CAHO, in collaboration with the AHPI and Apollo Hospitals. This workshop was attended by over 100 delegates from hospitals across Delhi, focusing on the theme of this year: “Improving Diagnosis for Patient Safety – Get it Right, Make it Safe!”
As the North Zone representative in CAHO’s national efforts, Sehgal Neo Hospital took this opportunity to emphasise patient safety. Dr Narin Sehgal, Medical Director of SNH, shared his journey and expressed gratitude to his mentors, such as Dr Giridhar Gyani, regarded as the “father of quality” in India, and Dr Vijay Agarwal, known for pioneering quality and safety training in healthcare. Dr. Sehgal also highlighted the enriching experience of working closely with the dynamic and inspiring Dr Lallu Joseph.
The workshop featured a distinguished line-up of guest speakers, including Dr Giridhar Gyani, Dr Vijay Agarwal, Dr Lallu Joseph, and Dr Shweta Prabhakar, Chairperson of CAHO North Zone. Other contributions from healthcare leaders included insights from Dr Ravi Gaur, Founder of DRG Path Labs and Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, Unipath, who shared their expertise on enhancing healthcare quality and safety practices.
